About this grant

This grant will enable the National Youth Employment Coalition to continue to work with states, local communities, and other leading groups in expanding education options for disconnected youth. Over the past two years, the grantee has engaged a subset of states and local communities in identifying and developing policies and practices that support educational pathways for students who are at risk or have already dropped out of school. During the next phase of this effort, the National Youth Employment Coalition will help build capacity at the local and state levels by serving as a technical resource provider to interested and targeted communities, developing a set of core policy principles on expanded options for disconnected youth, and informing the national policy discussion on the issues and needs of such youth.
