About this grant
The Black Sash Trust is dedicated to the promotion and defense of human rights. Through its network of advice offices, it provides hands-on legal advice and related services to rural and poor communities. This grant increase will provide additional support to the Black Sash Trust to enhance capacity-building support for the members of the National Alliance for the Development of Community Advice Offices (formerly known as the steering committee for advice offices and paralegals), an initiative aimed at strengthening the community-based paralegal and advice office sector and advocating for increased government support to ensure its long-term sustainability.
