About this grant
The Flint Institute of Music (FIM) has worked collaboratively with Flint’s Creative Expressions Dance Studio and the Flint Public Library to introduce children, ages 8 to 18, to the art of tap dance during its annual Tapology Dance Festival for Youth.This grant will support the development of the festival. Funds will be used for production-related costs, including guest artist fees and rentals.FIM, which began with the founding of the Flint Community Music Association in 1917, annually provides instruction to nearly 3,000 students, along with music and dance performances to approximately 225,000 Flint area residents.
