About this grant
The Heart of the Lakes Center for Land Conservation Policy was founded in 2004 to support the efforts of land conservation organizations across the state. With prior Mott support, the center has promoted tax incentives and other policies that reward private land conservation, educated decisionmakers and the public about the benefits of public lands, and helped land trusts across the state become more effective and sustainable organizations. With renewed support, the center will undertake similar efforts while also tending to its own internal organizational needs, such as revenue diversification.
