About this grant
The Minnesota Environmental Partnership, an independent statewide network of more than 80 groups, has a long-term commitment to Lake Superior through its Northeast Minnesota Program. With prior Mott support, the partnership has built the capacity of local community groups, addressed Great Lakes’ interests through state-level public policy initiatives, and represented Minnesota in many regional policy discussions. With continuing support, the partnership will maintain these programs with a particular focus on addressing pressing issues, such as the spread of aquatic invasive species and water pollution from new proposed mining activities. The partnership will also seek to build its own institutional strength by diversifying its revenue base and other means.
