About this grant
The Minnesota Environmental Partnership, an independent statewide network of more than 80 groups, has had a long-term commitment to Lake Superior through its Northeast Minnesota Program. The grantee leads its members in setting annual priorities related to freshwater, energy, and other environmental and conservation issues in Minnesota. With prior Mott support, the grantee helped protect Lake Superior by monitoring Clean Water Act implementation and taking steps to address invasive species. The grantee also focused on increasing citizen engagement and strengthening its own internal capacity as well as that of partner organizations. With renewed support, the grantee will continue those efforts while also taking steps to address mercury pollution in the Lake Superior basin.
