About this grant

Water pollution and other factors threaten the health of Lake Superior in Minnesota, while at the same time, a number of important regional policy discussions about the Great Lakes are under way that require Minnesota’s participation and leadership. This grant will enable the Minnesota Environmental Partnership to address environmental threats and policy reform opportunities. Funding will support the partnership’s Duluth-based Northeast Minnesota Program, as well as coordinate the collaborative development of a Great Lakes action agenda for its member groups. The partnership, a statewide network of environmental groups incorporated in 1998, works to strengthen the effectiveness of the Minnesota environmental community in protecting and enhancing the state’s natural resources.
