About this grant
This grant will support the launch of a formal program by the Independent Sector (IS) to strengthen, expand and increase the effectiveness of the international grantmaking and charitable activity of Independent Sector members and to strengthen international civil society by working with global and national civil society infrastructure organizations. Activities will include developing a compendium on U.S. laws and regulations affecting international grantmaking and charitable activity; conducting peer learning events with global civil society infrastructure organizations; hosting international interns; and inviting speakers from other countries to participate in IS’s annual conferences.IS is the leading U.S. nonpartisan leadership forum for charities, foundations and corporate giving programs.
