About this grant
This grant will enable the Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) to build a stronger, more collaborative, and more inclusive environmental movement through its national fellowship program. Semi-annual retreats are the cornerstone of the fellowship program, including a spring retreat for each new fellowship class and a joint summer retreat for all active fellows each year. Following the first retreat, each fellow develops a personal leadership plan that includes specific goals and activities for the remainder of his or her two-year fellowship. ELP provides a small grant of up to $5,000 that serves as seed money to implement projects the fellows otherwise might not have the opportunity to complete. The Environmental Leadership Program began its National Fellows program seven years ago.
