About this grant
This grant provides support to create an endowment fund for the Pablo Eisenberg Public Interest Fellowship at Georgetown University’s Public Policy Institute. This fellowship will be the first of five endowed awards at the institute aimed at preparing exemplary students, especially people of color, for public interest leadership. Selected first-year students at the institute will receive a tuition scholarship and a stipend accompanying a placement in a public interest organization for one academic year. The fellows will be mentored by a current public interest leader and be exposed to numerous valuable training, networking, and leadership development opportunities. The fellowship honors Pablo Eisenberg, one of the most influential voices in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector for over three decades and a strong advocate of social and economic justice for the poor and disenfranchised. Mr. Eisenberg recently retired after eight years of a senior fellowship at the Georgetown University’s Public Policy Institute.
