About this grant
Oil Change International is a research and advocacy organization that works to encourage progress in the energy industry toward an environmentally and socially sustainable energy future. The grantee’s International Program focuses on reforming the energy-related lending of public multilateral financial institutions, export credit agencies, and key private financial institutions. Over this grant period, it will undertake the following activities: participate in international discussions, including Group of Eight leaders’ fora on climate and the United Nations’ negotiations on climate change; continue to develop the international and U.S. nongovernmental organization coalitions to end public financing of international oil and gas projects; and address the investment distorting incentives that are imbedded in the valuation of oil and gas companies in order to encourage investors to shift to sustainable energy investments.
