About this grant
The Visually Impaired Center has been providing vision rehabilitation services to the blind and visually impaired population in Michigan’s Genesee, Lapeer and Shiawassee counties since 1970. It serves approximately 200 blind and visually impaired persons per year by providing both home- and center-based instruction in vision rehabilitation including independent living skills, computer classes, Braille instruction and use of low vision aids.This grant will provide capacity building support to help the Visually Impaired Center explore options to become sustainable in the future.
