About this grant

This grant will enable Editorial Projects in Education, through its research center, to assist the Flint Community Schools in evaluating its graduation and dropout rate data. Editorial Projects in Education will provide the district with an informed view of the number of students who are completing school and an in-depth understanding of the scope and nature of the causes and consequences of the graduation crisis in Flint and Genesee County. Activities for the project include: developing a statistical graduation profile; examining the social and economic consequences of students failing to complete school; and developing an early warning/predictor system that identifies students at greater risk of dropping out of school.
