About this grant
This grant will provide partial support to CIF of The San Francisco Foundation for the Diversity in Philanthropy Project, an initiative designed to advance strategic interventions for equity, diversity, and inclusion in philanthropy. This phase of the project will build on recommendations made by an advisory committee and will focus around five activities: executive consultations and consensus building to set an industry-wide agenda; creation of key elements of a voluntary compact among leading private foundations to address diversity within their own institutions; improvements in data and applied research to produce more informative and useful field diversity data; initiating new leadership recognition; and promoting a series of high level executive conversations to identify promising practices and ideas to expand foundation inclusiveness and effectiveness.
