About this grant

CFLeads helps community foundations advance the practice of community leadership to build thriving communities. The grantee has developed frameworks, training programs, and other resources for both individual community foundations and the community foundation field. In 2010, the grantee developed the following products for community foundations: a public policy curriculum and faculty guide; a community leadership discussion guide; online tools; a summary of model donor engagement activities; and a self-evaluation instrument for measuring community leadership capacity. Educational offerings also included a regional learning forum, a community leadership cluster seminar series, two field-wide webinars, and two sessions at the Council on Foundations’ fall conference. In 2011, the grantee will continue to act as the leading developmental, educational, and consulting organization on community leadership for community foundations. Planned offerings include an executive leadership network, issue networks, community leadership assessments, and information resources. CFLeads is currently a supporting organization to the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation.
