About this grant
This grant provides partial support to Philanthropy New York to manage the Asset Funders Network. The Mott Foundation helped create the network in 2005 in order to build a community of grantmakers committed to asset building issues. The grantee’s ultimate goal is to increase both the amount and impact of philanthropic funding on asset building issues. Activities planned for the two-year grant period include hosting in-person meetings and conferences, organizing a conference call series, and developing a working group focused on children’s savings accounts. Since its inception in 2005, the network has established a stable advisory structure and grown a base of 100 active members.
