About this grant
This grant will assist the Centre for Public Participation in its efforts to advocate for and facilitate public participation in governance processes, particularly at the local level. The centre works to strengthen public participation in governance, advance the achievement of civil, political, and socioeconomic rights and improve people’s quality of life. The Local Government Support Programme will utilize capacity-building training workshops, foster relationships between civil society and their elected local leaders, and promote social accountability in government processes to advance effective engagement between communities, civil society organizations, and municipalities in the KwaZulu-Natal province.
