About this grant

This grant will provide support for capital improvements to the American Red Cross – Genesee-Lapeer Chapter. Created in 1917, the American Red Cross – Genesee-Lapeer Chapter is a humanitarian organization that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. For 90 years, people in the greater Flint community have counted on the local chapter for the lifesaving skills, emergency assistance, and information they need to be safe at home, in school, and in the workplace. Mott Foundation funding will be used for much-needed improvements to the agency’s computer systems and building.
