About this grant
The Ohio Environmental Council, a leading statewide organization, works to protect and restore Lake Erie and its tributaries by engaging the public and policymakers in freshwater ecosystem conservation. The council provides scientific and technical expertise on the Clean Water Act and related water policies, mentoring and leadership to local and regional organizations, and policy expertise on Lake Erie pollution and restoration issues. With continued Mott support, the council will promote new funding for Lake Erie restoration, seek strong implementation of the Great Lakes Compact, expand its partnerships, and build its organizational capacity.
