About this grant
Several policy reform opportunities, including the possible adoption of the Great Lakes Compact and the push for new ecosystem restoration funding, have converged to address many of the threats faced by Lake Erie and its tributaries. The Ohio Environmental Council, a premier statewide organization with a long history of work in the Lake Erie basin, will help lead the environmental community’s response to such reform opportunities. The council will also build its own organizational capacity so that it can sustain its long-term commitment to environmental protection in the Lake Erie basin and statewide.
