About this grant
In its redevelopment strategy for downtown Flint, Sasaki Associates, Inc., recommended the reopening of Kearsley Street through the University of Michigan-Flint campus. The closed street is currently a complicating factor in transit between the Flint Cultural Center campus and downtown Flint. This grant will allow the Foundation for the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation to work collaboratively with the University of Michigan-Flint to study the feasibility of reopening Kearsley Street to reconnect downtown Flint and the Cultural Center.
