About this grant
The South African Institute for Advancement, also known as Inyathelo, was established in 2002 to promote philanthropy, leadership development, and resource development for the nonprofit sector in South Africa. Recent activities include facilitating workshops and training programs on fundraising for nonprofits, convening and mentoring donors, developing and distributing informational materials for donors and nonprofits, and introducing youth philanthropy activities. Future activities will focus on the philanthropic sector and nonprofit sustainability. Inyathelo will continue to expand its training programs to Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal provinces and will conduct 54 workshops, symposia, retreats, and other events in 2009 for the donor community and the nonprofit sector.
