About this grant
The Music Around Town series, formerly known as Music in the Parks, is the next chapter in the broad community partnership led by the Flint Institute of Music. Since 1991 the grantee has worked to provide a variety of musical offerings in the community to better meet the needs of residents. This year’s Music Around Town program will include eight concerts throughout the year. The program is offered in collaboration with Flint area institutions in various high-profile locations including the Crim Festival of Races starting line in downtown Flint, Atwood Stadium, and Longway Planetarium.
