About this grant
This grant represents a contribution to the Foundation Center’s 50th Anniversary Capital Campaign. For the past 50 years, the Foundation Center has been the leading organization serving grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, media, and the public through a broad array of information and education products and services. In 2006, recognizing significant changes in the philanthropic landscape and the need to improve its capacity to take on 21st century challenges, the center launched a four-year, $15 million campaign to build its information, research, nonprofit capacity building, and public outreach services. Campaign funds will also be used to increase the center’s long-term reserves and to create a venture fund that will enable it to respond quickly to unexpected developments.
