About this grant
This grant provides continued support to the Attorneys General Oversight and Regulation of Charitable Organizations project of the National State Attorneys General Program at Columbia Law School, Columbia University in the City of New York. The goal of the project is to foster a comprehensive approach by state attorneys general to protecting charitable assets and ensuring their lawful, highest, and best use in the public interest and in the manner their donors intended. Through national conferences, trainings, online materials, and consultations to state attorneys general offices, the project has been an educational resource for attorneys general and their staff and has facilitated dialogue with nonprofit practitioners and scholars. Over the next two years, the project will continue to enhance and broaden these activities. Columbia University is one of the top academic and research institutions in the world.
