About this grant
The project goal is to help the Kosovar leadership to develop a sound strategy for governance during the first 120 days following the United Nations’ decision on Kosovo’s independence. To this end, the East-West Management Institute, in cooperation with the Project on Justice in Times of Transition and with the support of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, brought together a small group of significant international and American experts with relevant experience and key senior members of the Kosovar administration for an intensive, two-day meeting at the Rockefeller Pocantico Conference Center outside of New York City in April 2007. The meeting produced a concrete strategic plan for the first 120 days of independence and a broadened network of advisors and experts for the Kosovar leadership to draw on during this period. The East-West Management Institute is based in New York and has implemented several projects in Kosovo since 1999.
