About this grant
Mott Community College provides a six-week entrepreneurial experience for 30 economically disadvantaged teenagers, aged 14-18. This renewal grant supports the Teen CEO Summer Camp program, which teaches students the basic skills required to launch a successful new business venture. Using tested business curriculum and experiential learning opportunities, the participants work together, competing against other teams to develop the strongest business plan. to win all (or a portion) of the $10,000 of start-up capital to fund the new businesses. The program will award entrepreneur certificates and stipends, and will provide access to seed capital to implement the best business concepts.
