About this grant
The program goal is to build the capacity of grassroots nonprofit organizations and community enterprises in southern Romania to engage in the development of their communities. To this end, PACT – Partnership for Community Action and Transformation Foundation will provide training, field consultancy, small matching grants, and networking opportunities to grassroots organizations whose activities address the local needs of marginalized groups. In addition, the grantee will strengthen its fundraising strategies and capacities and will start building its permanent assets. During the past two years, the grantee trained community groups and local authorities in 49 communities, raised funds for regranting from sources in Romania to support 54 community projects, and strengthened its leadership position in the field of community development and social economy. Established in 2006, the grantee is based in Bucharest, Romania.
