About this grant
The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation is a policy and research center working on various aspects of violence and reconciliation. This grant will provide support to the Centre to produce the International Journal of Transitional Justice in partnership with the Human Rights Centre at the University of California, Berkley. Published three times a year by Oxford University Press, the journal carries refereed articles in the field of transitional justice to share information and knowledge to deepen understanding, build on the lessons learned, record best practices, and develop universally accepted standards in the field. The journal strives to encourage debate and discussion across disciplines and geographic areas in the field of transitional justice and serves as a reference source for academics, researchers, and practitioners. To encourage submissions by global south-based writers, a Fellows Programme will help participants develop their writing and technical skills during a six-week residency in South Africa.
