About this grant
The program goal is to galvanize emerging leaders and practitioners to solve critical global challenges. To this end, EastWest Institute will create a global network of 24 solutions-oriented leaders who share a vision of working together to create effective approaches to critical global security issues. Through a careful selection process, EastWest Institute will ensure that the Global Leadership Consortium is a genuine partnership of world leaders from across sectors, regions, and institutions. Network members will meet twice a year as a group and will form subnetworks, focused on specific security issue areas. The Global Leadership Consortium’s initial geographic focus will be on Russia, Ukraine, the Balkans, Turkey, and South Africa. Founded in 1980, EastWest Institute is an international, nonpartisan organization with centers in Brussels, New York, and Moscow.
