Maryland Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will continue to support Baltimore’s Safe & Sound Campaign in the advancement of the Maryland Statewide Afterschool Network. This grantee is part of the sixth cohort of Mott-funded, statewide afterschool networks. In addition to continuing its core work building the field of afterschool, the Maryland Statewide Afterschool Network will: increase participation in the federal at-risk supper and summer meals programs; leverage out-of-school time programs as a portal to identifying and enrolling eligible young people and their families in federal and state benefit programs; and identify, share, and replicate best practices in recruiting and integrating young people with disabilities in afterschool programs. Lessons learned and products will be shared with the national network of statewide afterschool networks.
