New Jersey Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant to the New Jersey School-Age Care Coalition will support the New Jersey Statewide Afterschool Network to continue to build an afterschool and summer learning system that improves outcomes for children and youth through school-based or school-linked afterschool programs. Over the next three years, the network will support the development of policy, partnerships, and funding to benefit youth in afterschool programs. The network’s specific initiatives will include: 1) conducting a thorough communications assessment and developing improved communications assets about the network and afterschool in New Jersey; 2) supporting afterschool system-building work in Newark, Trenton, and Bridgeton to expand access to programs; and 3) developing and implementing new training on social emotional learning for afterschool providers.
