About this grant
The project goal is to support Kosovar government and civil society institutions to address challenges associated with the resolution of Kosovo’s political status. In the period leading up to and immediately following determination of Kosovo’s status, Kosovar leaders will need to draw on internal and external resources and experience to meet pressing needs requiring urgent and sophisticated responses. The Kosovo Task Force will include civil society leaders and government representatives and will work with the government to access relevant international expertise, develop an effective communications and public outreach strategy, and organize an international donors’ conference. The task force will liaise with international experts, maintain contact with local community leaders, and support specific projects that engage the public in decisionmaking on issues facing Kosovo. Based in New York but with extensive experience in Kosovo, the East-West Management Institute will manage and coordinate the task force, including securing funding for the task force’s work.
