About this grant
This grant will provide support to consolidate and expand Oxfam America’s work on oil and gas extraction, with a particular focus on policy change within international financial institutions, corporations, and governments. Oxfam America will work to ensure that communities affected by projects, such as the Camisea oil and gas project in Peru, will have the capacity and support to ensure that such projects contribute to their sustainable development. Oxfam America was founded in 1970 to work to end global poverty through saving lives, strengthening communities, and campaigning for policy change. Oxfam America helps people gain the skills to change their future. It also works at the global level to address social injustice through its policy advocacy, public education and research, and emergency assistance programs.
