About this grant
The project goal is to strengthen the financial stability of the Bulgarian Environmental Partnership Foundation. The grantee will conduct a fundraising campaign in Bulgaria with the goal of raising over $40,000 for its endowment fund during 2007-2009. The grantee’s mission is to strengthen civil society and the environment movement in Bulgaria by providing funding and technical assistance to nongovernmental organizations in the fields of environment and community development. In addition, the grantee runs operational programs to promote concepts and practices of sustainable development in local communities. The grantee is a member of the Environmental Partnership for Sustainable Development Association together with its sister foundations from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia. Since its establishment in 2003, the grantee has provided grants and technical assistance to over 135 environmental initiatives in Bulgaria.
