About this grant

The purpose of the Government Performance Improvement Initiative, a project of the Council of Michigan Foundations, is for the state of Michigan to utilize private consulting companies to achieve at least $30 million in cost savings and revenue enhancement by January 31, 2008. The priority areas to achieve these savings have been identified and include shared financial services and process improvement, pension transformation, and revenue enhancement.
