About this grant
The city of Flint and Genesee County continue to struggle with issues of social equity and racial justice. Building on the community’s renewed energy and focus as a result of the recent residency of the Truth in Translation theater group, the Community Foundation of Greater Flint is taking a long-term approach to developing systemic solutions to issues of equity and racial justice by increasing its ability to build local capacity to address these issues. The fund will be used to support small- to medium-sized projects that promote equity and racial justice, educate the community, encourage dialogue, promote understanding of one another, and support research that strengthens local grantmaking and other projects addressing these issues.
