About this grant

Established in 1956, the Foundation Center’s mission is to connect nonprofits and grantmakers in the United States to each other and to helpful tools and information in order to strengthen the nonprofit sector. The Foundation Center maintains a comprehensive database on grantmakers in the United States and operates research, education, and training programs designed to advance philanthropy at every level. This grant will provide support to the Foundation Center for its Diversity in Philanthropy Research Metrics project. The project will develop a plan for a national system of collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data on diversity in philanthropy. The development of such a system will ensure that foundations are able to collect and have access to high quality data on diversity in the years ahead.
