About this grant
The Instream Flow Council, a nongovernmental organization formed by state and provincial agency personnel in the United States and Canada, works to improve the effectiveness of instream flow policies through a variety of programs, including an annual meeting. For the first time, the council is opening its annual conference to a wider audience, including freshwater conservation organizations from the Great Lakes basin and southeastern United States. The conference will provide scientific, policy, and networking assistance to attendees, with a goal of improving the ability of diverse stakeholders to cooperatively solve instream flow problems in the United States and Canada. Mott funds will be used to subsidize the participation of smaller nonprofit organizations as well cover other conference expenses.
