About this grant

The “Nonprofit Quarterly”, the nation’s premier journal on nonprofit practice and policy, recently completed a study on the current state of the support system for nonprofit organizations in the United States, with special attention paid to philanthropy and research. The study included mapping and analysis of nonprofit and philanthropic infrastructure, as well as interviews and articles by nonprofit experts. These were published in the Winter 2008 issue of “Nonprofit Quarterly”, which is being broadly distributed through national nonprofit and philanthropic networks. The grantee also provided the study’s funders with a report that included a trends analysis and recommendations, as well as additional studies on various aspects of nonprofit and philanthropic infrastructure. Additional funding will allow the grantee to study and write an article for its Summer 2009 issue on successful collaborations and partnerships among national infrastructure groups.
