About this grant
This grant continues general purpose support to the Direct Care Alliance. The organization is a nationwide and state-based alliance of direct-care workers, employers, and people of all ages and disabilities who use long-term services, care, and supports. First initiated as a project of the Paraprofessional Healthcare Institute, the alliance works at the intersection of three key policy issues: 1) quality long-term care for consumers; 2) workforce development for low-income workers; and 3) economic and social justice for women. The alliance addresses these issues by directly engaging key stakeholders — workers, consumers, and employers — in grassroots advocacy initiatives.
