About this grant
The Communications Network is a membership organization that promotes the use of consistent, strategic communications as an integral part of effective philanthropy. The grantee connects communications professionals working in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector to each other for guidance and mentoring and regularly sponsors learning and networking opportunities through webinars and an annual conference. Over the past two years, the grantee’s membership has grown from 350 to 480 members; its annual conferences have drawn over 300 participants each time; and it has offered four webinars per year. Last year, the grantee revised its mission and scope to include communications professionals from nonprofit organizations, as well as foundations. During 2013-2015, the grantee will expand its membership to include nonprofit communications professionals and noncommunications staff at foundations. It will continue to offer online resources and programming, as well as its annual conferences.
