About this grant
The Communications Network is a membership organization that promotes the use of consistent, strategic communications as an integral part of effective social sector work. The network connects communications professionals working in foundations and nonprofit organizations to each other for guidance and mentoring, and regularly sponsors learning and networking opportunities. Over the past two years, the grantee’s membership has grown from 500 to 800 members. In 2015, its annual conference had a record 526 attendees. Other offerings during the past two years include a research study on social sector communicators, publication of a bi-annual print journal, a monthly e-newsletter, and 19 Webinars. The grantee recently adopted a new strategic plan with three main objectives: to provide thought leadership on strategic social sector communications, increase member and influencer engagement, and increase and diversify revenue.
