Genesee County Out-of-School Youth Initiative

About this grant

This grant will enable the Community Foundation of Greater Flint to continue to support a countywide partnership aimed at improving the educational supports and opportunities for out-of-school youth. Through this project, the grantee has led and convened a partnership of stakeholders in building a framework that addresses the issue of dropouts in Flint/Genesee County. During the next stage of this project, the grantee will focus on raising awareness on the plight of out of-school youth and building stronger connections to local and statewide stakeholders that can help develop strategies and efforts to ensure out-of-school youth have a chance to earn a diploma.
