Genesee County Out-of-School Youth Initiative

About this grant

This grant will enable Resource Genesee to continue to support a countywide partnership aimed at improving the educational supports for out-of-school and disconnected youth. In the most recent phase of this initiative, the coalition authored a report and launched a companion Website that profiles the challenges of disconnected youth in Genesee County and provides a set of action steps, strategies, and resources to reconnect this population to the mainstream economy. This grant will allow the grantee to support and convene the countywide coalition of youth-serving agencies and programs to develop strategies and action steps to ensure out-of-school youth have a chance to earn a diploma.
