About this grant

The project goal is to support the process of dealing with the past in the former Yugoslavia by raising public awareness in this region about the work of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. To this end, the tribunal is implementing an ambitious communication and legacy program that will provide information and resources to the public in the Bosnian, Serbian, and Croatian languages long after the tribunal has completed its work in 2010. Central to this program is a dedicated Web site that enables global audiences, and especially those in the former Yugoslavia, to have easy access to its legal findings and an extensive range of specially designed new materials and content. Mott support will be used during the 18-month grant period to pay the expenses of a full-time translator. The tribunal was established by the United Nations in 1993 and is based in The Hague, Netherlands.
