About this grant
Washington Interfaith Network, an affiliate of the Industrial Areas Foundation, is a multiracial, multiconstituency community organization in the District of Columbia. In the last three years, it has worked to secure public financing to help rebuild some of the city’s long-neglected neighborhoods. To fulfill its ongoing neighborhood development goals, Washington Interfaith Network is creating a joint venture real estate development company that will provide for community input in development decisions, as well as a small source of funding to the central organizing work. This grant will provide support for the start-up and planning phase.
