About this grant
Founded in 1978, the Indian Law Resource Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of indigenous peoples in North, Central, and South America. The grantee intends to build on its 15 years of work addressing public sector financial institutions that fund energy and infrastructure projects in South America. By incorporating the Brazilian Development Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank into their scope of work, the grantee will expand promoting stronger safeguards and increased accountability by these financial institutions to help ensure social and environmental protections are respected.
