About this grant
This grant to the Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights will support the Illinois Asset Building Group to promote the development and sustainability of state and federal programs and policies that expand asset-building incentives and opportunities for low- and moderate-income families. Objectives of the project include: 1) engaging new constituencies to leverage sustained support for asset-development strategies; 2) informing the public and policymakers about how assets contribute to individual, family, and community economic well-being; and 3) testing innovative policies that bring asset-building opportunities to broad segments of the public. This is one of eight grants aimed at building the capacity of state asset-building coalitions to effectively promote the development of state asset policies.
