Expanded Learning Time/New York City

About this grant

This grant renewal will continue support to the After-School Corporation in evaluating the impact and implementation of its Expanded Learning Time/New York City initiative. This evaluation will assess the impact of the program in which students spend at least 30 percent more time on learning. The evaluation will assess four main areas: 1) actions of participating schools and community-based organization partners in increasing and enriching student learning time; 2) experiences of participating students; 3) effect on student performance; and 4) patterns of growth in educational performance due to expanded learning time. The After-School Corporation is a not-for-profit organization that has been helping school leaders and community organizations create high quality, school-based afterschool programs.
